Frequently Asked Questions

1.Is WPE PRO a virus?

No, it’s not. Your anti-virus may say so, although it’s safe to use. WPE PRO is a packet sniffer, so it can be detected however it won’t damage your computer.

2.When I stop logging packets it doesn’t show up anything. What can I do?

First check your settings: go to “View”, then “Option”. Make sure that “Send” and “SendTo” is checked in “Winsock 1.1” and “WSASend” and “WSASendTo” is checked in “Winsock 2.0”. Click “OK” button.

If WPE PRO still doesn’t log packets of your browser, try with another one. Opera works best, however if you use Firefox and you don’t want to get other browser, you can do something else.

To open WPE PRO you’ll need to extract it first with WinRAR or a similar program. If you get an error while doing this, it’s probably your anti-virus damaged the archieve or you’ve downloaded a version which was broken already. Try disabling your anti-virus and downloading WPE PRO again.

You’re probably opening the file in a wrong tab. Remember – when you open a Filter (.flt file) use “Filters” tab, and when you open a Send List (.spt file) use “Send” tab.

5.After using filters, my items are still changed. How can I get back to normal?

If restarting your browser didn’t help, try clearing its cache. It should work.
